Ground turkey-based crust pizza


Ingredients:

Crust

  • 1 lb Extra Lean Ground Turkey (or Ground Chicken)

  • 2 Egg

  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (shredded, for crust)

  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • Sea Salt (to taste)

Toppings

  • 1 1/2 tsps Pizza Sauce

  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes (sliced in half and quartered)

  • 1 cup Pitted Kalamata Olives (sliced)

  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (shredded for topping)

  • 10 Turkey Pepperoni

  • 1/2 cup Yellow Onions (roasted)

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.

  2. Mix together ground meat, eggs, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt to taste.

  3. Spread the mixture 1/2-inch thick onto a parchment-paper-lined baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 400F. Turn on the broiler for 5 minutes extra at the end for added crispiness.

  4. Once the crust is done, add toppings. Use my suggestions or come up with your own. Bake for another 10 to 20 minutes or until the edges are golden and crispy. Slice and enjoy!!
